... Respite Solutions can help you connect with 

a qualified Caregiver! 

Respite Solutions is a certified Medicaid Agency through The Department of Developmental Disabilities in Oregon. 

 Respite Solutions helps families of Individuals with developmental differences/ 

disabilities, by matching them with qualified caregivers,  known as 

Direct Support Providers (DSPs).   


 Once connected with an Individual & their family, the DSP serves two purposes; 

First, they give short-term respite care to the Individual, providing the family and legal guardians with needed breaks in caregiving.

Second, The DSP becomes part of a team of people who assist and coach these individuals through daily life-skills and activities.  Ultimately, the goal is that the Individual learns enough valuable skills to help them grow 

to be as independent as possible, while becoming more fully included in the community.      

Respite Solutions is located in West Linn Oregon, and certified in all Oregon Counties.  

How we help

Connection 

Respite Solutions offers assistance in connecting families of Individuals with developmental disabilities to qualified,  trained caregivers, "Direct Support Providers."  or DSPs.


When you enlist the help of Respite Solutions, you are matched with a DSP that you and your family approve of. 


How are DSPs "qualified" ?  

Respite Solutions DSPs are vetted through a multi-step interview process, including  background checks, reference checks, and trainings.  These trainings must be completed prior to supporting Individuals.    DSPs are also subject to ongoing trainings through out the year, including first-aid and CPR.  


The final step comes when you and the supported Individual approve of the DSP.  Of course, the relationship must be a good match for you and your family. The hope is, that with time, the  relationship will continue to grow, and the DSP will help coach the supported Individual to become as independent as possible.  



Com​munication 

 Respite Solutions helps your family by recruiting Direct Support Providers/ "DSPs", who's intention is to support and coach Individuals with Developmental Differences/Disabilities.  These DSPs add to the team of people who support the Individual.   

 

Our DSPs are trained to w​ork closely in conjunction with families of supported Individuals, and to  help provide companionship for the Individual.  With time, the goal is to help coach these individuals advance their daily tasks and life skills, so that they ultimately attain as much independence, freedom, and community involvement possible.

  

 

Compassion 

 As parents of three children, including their son "Chip" who has Down Syndrome, agency owners Jennifer and Jeff Zeman have a unique understanding of the challenges associated of raising a child and supporting an Individual with special needs.
